This means that short referencing information (Author, Date) must be included in the text of your assignment when you quote information from outside sources.

APA (7th edition) Referencing Style This referencing style sheet is to be used in conjunction with the Library’s general Guide to Citing & Referencing. In an APA document, the list of works cited is titled “References.” The list should be in alphabetical order by the first word in the citation. or images of another as your own" (APA, 2020, p. 254). In-Text Citations APA Style in-text citations use the author-date system. In this system, the citation identifies a source used in the "text" (the body of a piece of writing) by providing the source's author and the date of publication.
In-text citations help readers locate the cited source in the References section of the paper. In-text citations follow either a parenthetical format or a narrative format. A parenthetical citation includes both the author’s last name and year of publication, separated by a comma, in parentheses at the end of the sentence.
In-Text Citations of Multiple or Duplicate Authors and Titles (APA Manual . chapter 6) One Work by Multiple Authors (8.17) If a work has two authors, always include both of their names in an in -text citation. If a source has three or more authors, simply use the first author’s name followed by “et al.,” short for “and others” in Latin.
