State Route 87 reopened Thursday evening hours after DPS troopers searched for suspects accused of causing a hit-and-run crash and then shooting at the vehicle they hit.

The southbound lanes of State Route 87 were shut down at Shea Boulevard, the Arizona Department of Transportation said, for a brush fire.
