Phase diagrams are incredibly useful. However, can you imagine how difficult they would be to experimentally measure? Fortunately, we don't have to measure each point. In fact, we can calculate these diagrams using thermodynamic expressions for each phase and exploring how those expressions change with temperature and pressure.
