A demonstration of how to take a statement from a witness once an incident has been reported.

This is an example of a direct and cross of a prosecution witness. If this were an actual mock trial competition the attorneys would be from opposing schools. The witness is provided by the school doing the direct examination.

Witnesses are often nervous about testifying on the witness stand and can look foolish, dishonest, or confused. Do yourself a favor and give your testimony by making yourself aware of the possible pitfalls.
