Finding a “hidden” dialog box in Excel is rarely a true mystery. With a little understanding of Excel’s interface, its customization options, and its powerful search capabilities, you can easily uncover any missing dialog box and continue working productively.

The solution is to unhide hidden documents in Excel. STEPS: Go to the View tab. In the Window section, click the Unhide button. This opens the Unhide dialog box with the name of the workbook. Click on the OK button to close the dialog box. If hidden documents were the cause of the greyed-out screen, the correct display will be restored.
