My keyboard has RGB lights that turn on when its working and the first red flag was they wouldnt turn on. I tried typing w it and it simply wasnt working. I went to check if its even being recognised by the PC and it was simply recognised as ,,USB input device,, and it wont work. I tried multiple thing i saw online like restarting the PC
Windows 11 Lenovo legion 7i laptop keeps saying usb devices not recognized. Happened after plugging in and out a one handed keyboard a few times. Now no keyboard is recognized, keeps saying the usb device malfunctioned. The keyboards work as tested on other laptops. Other usb devices work fine like mouse, headphones, gamepad etc.
right click on start button and click on device manager. click on keyboards then right click on your keyboard driver (if there are multiple remove every one of them) click on uninstall device reboot your device and let the driver install again by opening device manager then right clicking on the device of which the driver was removed.
Note: You should find the Keyboard receiver or Keyboard input device in “Keyboards” section or in “Human Interface Devices” section. 3. Next, unplug the Keyboard/Receiver from the USB port and Restart the computer. After the computer restarts, plug back the Keyboard/Receiver into the USB Port and you should now find the keyboard working.
