PERFORMANCE OF THE ECONOMY
Preliminary estimates from the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) show that GDP growth for FY 2023/24 was 6.0%, in line with the projection for the Financial Year. This signals full recovery of the economy from the effects of COVID-19 which had halved growth to 3.0%. This is also higher than the 5.3% growth attained in FY 2022/23.
