Update 28.0.1 of OBS Studio is a hot mess; Stream Deck doesn't work anymore and the tuna plugin won't display artist names from Spotify. How do I rollback to the previous version of OBS Studio?

The only way I fixed it was to revert to 28.0.3. Then I did a few regressions like mention below. If this helps, I did a few regressions tests the best way I can by downloading the different versions below. For each of the installs, I uninstalled OBS and selected both OBS and settings to wipe it.

Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of OBS Studio 28.0.3 (64-bit). I updated to OBS Studio 28.0.3 this morning and I am having the worst time trying to stream. Everything is super laggy and choppy. I only stream on the weekends, and last weekend everything worked fine. ... When in doubt downgrade. OBS 28 still has lot of bugs and just await the all clear til then. I re-installed OBS 27.2.4 (after backing up) which resolved the issue. But the original issue for over a week now, is that when doing transitions OBS freezes until transition is done & sometimes crashes. This is why I updated to OBS 28.1.2 in the first place. Transition issue is still there

Restart OBS Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the issue to happen). Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc. Stop your stream/recording.

OBS will continue running until the UI requires a change to be made (ie changing settings, changing scene/source order, etc), when the app will freeze and need to be force closed. There is about a 50/50 chance of all audio outputs to the computer are removed from the Windows Sound control panel, where a reboot is required to get any sound again.

FIXED! I then plugged it back into the Cloudlifter... still fixed. So, long story short, somehow OBS broke the chain between my mic, the Cloudlifter, and GoXLR. Thank you very much WINDOWS & OBS Version 28.0.3 for this unnecessary 8 hours of troubleshooting.
