RefWorks is a web-based reference management tool that allows you to manage your references when writing or collaborating with other researchers. You can use RefWorks to organize, store and share your references, and to instantly create citations and bibliographies. Below you will find a selection of training materials to get you started.
RefWorks allows you to save and manage your research easily. You can import citations and, in some cases, the full text of your results from most library databases into RefWorks, providing a centralized place for all your research.
When configured by your institution, you can search for references in your local library catalog. When you find an item in your library's catalog that you want to add to RefWorks, select Send to > RefWorks on the item page, or download the reference and upload it to RefWorks. An advantage of using RefWorks is that references found in the numerous databases of the Holy Cross Library can be exported directly into RefWorks. This is done not from inside of RefWorks, but from the results page of a search conducted in one of the Library’s bibliographic databases.

There are two ways to move data from RefWorks into Zotero: 1. Move the Files When you add files to Zotero, it will automatically extract citations and attach files. This method won't preserve RefWorks folders; you'll have to create new Zotero collections and manually organize the sources. Download from Refworks by either:
