After way to long I am putting together a stereo - home theater system. way back in college (1980) I had a pair of Phase Research speakers which i played the hell out of man where those speakers great!!!!! I had them hooked up to a little NAD3020 with Thorns turntable cant begin to tell you how many hours were spent with those things blasting!

Phase Research RT transmission line tower speakers. These speakers were designed by master speaker guru Phil Clements. They are mirror imaged, phase aligned, and all the components in the crossover were hand selected and impedance-matched for the particular drivers used. In fact each capacitor has a hand-marked reading of the exact impedance.

Phase Research Transmission Line Speakers. Rare column speakers from the 70's, all drivers work 100%, new surrounds on 8" woofers, crossovers are original with hand -selected capacitors with 1% tolerance, tunnel baffle for tweeter, tipped back at 5 degrees. Transmission line design offers very nice bass output, units are 451/2" tall, 13"wide and 11 1/2"deep.

This Phase Research speakers are in good condition and I have it still in use (without muddy foam surround) in the television room, now fitted from a "D1" Receiver from German brand "Kücke" (KS electronic Wuppertal). I have owned more than 1 pair of Phase Research speakers. My friends and I traded Phil Clements speakers between us. I had the Little D's then got a pair of RT's in the mid 80's from a friend who knew the sales rep who introduced us to Phil in the early 80's. They are still working superbly 40+ yrs later.

IMHO The Phase Research R's are works on audio mastery. Taking in account what they are 2 way, 8" bottom with a simple TL they are truly borderline brilliant.
