Click on the Excel / Word Options button to bring up the Excel / Word Options dialog box (at the bottom of window) Click Advanced, at the left side of the dialog box. I am not sure what is causing this, but every time I restart my system, the paste options in MS office apps such as outlook and word get disabled. I also see that the value of PasteOptions in \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\office\16.0\common\General is set to 0 even after I manually set it to 1.

The problem is solved when I log off as a user, log in again and restart word, but after some time the problem returns.
