Mental Health. The Phoenix Area of the Indian Health Service (PAIHS) oversees the health care delivery to over 140,000 Native American users from 44 different tribes in the tri-state area of Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

Behavioral Health. The mission of the Behavioral Health Division is to help individuals and families maintain a balanced lifestyle by providing professional and confidential behavioral health services and resources that are culturally appropriate to the urban Native American community and other populations.

The Indian Health Service (IHS), an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. The provision of health services to members of federally-recognized Tribes grew out of the special government-to-government relationship between the federal government and Indian Tribes.

Native Connections is a five-year grant program that helps American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities identify and address the behavioral health needs of Native youth.
