On Thursday, the parenting website BabyCenter published a report highlighting the baby names that are apparently at risk of “going extinct” this year. According to their data, popular names from the ’80s and ’90s ― like Kelsey, Chelsea, Erin, Jamie and Taylor ― are steeply declining.
From there, BabyCenter looked at which names saw the steepest year-over-year declines compared to 2023. -Aden baby names that are going extinct. What we know: BabyCenter spotted the beginning of the end for "-aden" boy names, according to the data. For example, the name Jaden fell 162 spots, after peaking at No. 62 in 2002. The backstory:
