The digital ID products were introduced following feedback from practitioners. We heard that translators needed an easier and more secure way to complete translations electronically, and for certified practitioners to access their NAATI ID without having to carry a card in their wallet or purse.
Digital ID cards Digital ID cards are available to all NAATI-certified practitioners who have current credentials and differ from physical cards in the inclusion of a scannable QR code with the second screen displaying existing credentials. Each digital ID card has a unique QR code that will enable clients to verify that person’s credentials.
NAATI Digital ID Card (mainly for interpreting jobs) The Digital ID Card is available to all NAATI-certified translators with a current valid qualification. Unlike the physical ID card, the digital ID card includes a scannable QR code. When scanned, a second screen displays the translator’s current qualification information.

This type of accreditation is required for most of the translated documents that are presented before Australian authorities.
