Suicide death data by demographics. Suicide death rates among males are consistently higher than for females. In 2023, males made up 49.7% of the Maricopa County population and accounted for nearly 78% of the suicide deaths.

Mental Health America’s County and State Data Map is a dashboard that geographically visualizes data from over 5 million mental health screens taken by U.S. users at MHAScreening.org in 2020-2024. The interactive maps are able to identify the current need for mental health resources at a pace and scale that was not possible before.

Community health status data provides data for Maricopa County including communicable diseases, births, causes of deaths, and causes of hospitalizations. In the past different report formats were provided but in recent years all data is compiled into a triennial report as part of the countywide Community Health Assessment (CHA).

CDC's Mental Health Data Channel is the first resource that brings together data across CDC surveys and real-time emergency room visit data to increase public understanding of U.S. mental health trends. Data sources that collect and report national and state-level information on mental health were selected for inclusion in the data channel.
