Introduction The Health and Care Act 2022 builds on the proposals brought forward by the NHS following the publication of the Long-Term Plan. These proposals built on extensive engagement by the NHS in 2019 and were further developed in the 2021 White Paper Integration and Innovation: Working Together to Improve Health and Social Care for All.
