The Harris County Justice Courts are open, with the exception of JP 4-1 (Judge Lincoln Goodwin – Cypresswood) and JP 5-2 (Judge Jeff Williams – Clay Rd), which remain closed due to extensive damage from Hurricane Harvey. If you are summoned for jury duty to one of the Justice of the Peace annexes, contact that court with questions.

JP 5-2 Notices: The JP 5-2 Criminal Department will not accept new filings after 4:30 p.m. The JP 5-2 Civil Department will no longer be accepting new filings after 4:30 p.m. Everything else will be accepted. For you convenience, a drop-box slot is located just outside the suite 4 doorway to deposit paperwork for the Court (not the tax office).
