Usually, when I go to Google Maps and zoom, there is a smooth zooming animation and it doesn't zoom too much in or out. Now, since the past 1-2 weeks, I've noticed on Chrome that if I "pinch to zoom" (built-in track pack on MacBook Pro), there's no animation and no fine grained control; just barely rolling my fingers on the trackpad will either zoom me in 100% or zoom me out 100%.

On my new google chrome profile, when I zoom in and out on google maps its smooth and useable. It takes about 8 full-sized drags on my touchpad to go from 20ft scale to 500 mile scale. But, on my original google account, zooming is EXTREMELY erratic, and moves more like a gif than a zooming map.
