However, searching by 'Legacy and body,' 'Legacy and mesh and body,' or 'meshbody' (also tried using the syntax 'term+term') both in the MP and in-world did not bring up the store for Legacy bodies. I finally did a web search, found the Meshbody site, and got a map link from there.
Correction, all Legacy bodies have been updated to version 1.6, even the free one. No need to wear alphas on any BOM body or even BOM heads, just activate the BOM feature either by a button in the hud or as with Legacy through a command in local chat.

May i present a great alternative. The lucy body. It fits most Matreiya clothes and slink shoes. Free and easy to use, and offers a separate BOM add-on for i think $50 lindens. I used the legacy classic before i discovered the lucy body and i’ve had much better experience with the latter.

I went to Legacy 'the skins' to get the free classic body. I was not able to get the body however yesterday. I had my group tag on. So, I don't know what went wrong. I ended up getting the Jake body but wasn't a fan of the calves so really wanted a Legacy I think it was. Few months after getting the Jake body the Legacy one was on sale so I pulled the trigger and I never even unpacked it before getting caught back up in other games. I'm not even sure which legacy it is.
The free Legacy Classic body is practically the old TMP version. I think the creators had some internal drama back then so they went AWOL for a year or so. Then they came back and released new Legacy bodies (paid versions) but also renamed the original TMP to Legacy also, which made it confusing.
