The problem is that Excel is on top of Chrome. My mouse clicks aren't getting to Chrome because a completely transparent Excel window is on top of Chrome. At the bottom of my MS Excel window, the the left of the zoom slider are the words "Display Settings." After I clicked on that, I selected "Optimize for compatibility." Then I restarted all MS Office programs like it said and now I can see the power query windows and contents.
I just got a new PC with windows 11 and has this issue. Quick solution I use is to hit the tab key to switch between the options in the box and then all the box shows up. This doesn’t remove the annoyance of the issue, but at least is a quick turnaround. I will try turning the transparency effects in windows and see if this works…

Whenever a prompt pops up in Excel it's not selected, meaning tab, arrow or enter keys don't work within the prompt unless I manually click on the prompt window to select it. A good example is "Unhide Sheets." When I use the menu or key commands to unhide sheets, the prompt listing hidden sheets pops up.
However, fairly frequently I will have a Message Box pop up (from the code I've created) to either ask direction on which option to take in the Macro, or to tell me the Macro has completed etc., but the Message Box will remain hidden until I single-click on the Excel window, and it will pop to the top level and become visible.
