Sorry for the late response. Excel works normal in safe mode. As for disabling add-ins in Excel, there are none to disable. I have since received calls from 3 more users who are experiencing the same issue. THey say that excel is affected by anything that requires a dialogue box.

If I cannot see the dialogue box anymore, then I just open it again in the menu - and it pops up again from wherever it was. You could also save the files and then close them - if the dialogue box was hidden somewhere, it will be closed, too. Then re-open the files and use the Find/Replace function again. I just got a new PC with windows 11 and has this issue. Quick solution I use is to hit the tab key to switch between the options in the box and then all the box shows up. This doesn’t remove the annoyance of the issue, but at least is a quick turnaround. I will try turning the transparency effects in windows and see if this works…
