The Disability Action Transport Scheme (DATS) is available in 29 urban areas across Northern Ireland. It will allow you to get out and about in your local area for essential journeys i.e. permitted shopping, health reasons, work or exercise (in line with COVID-19 restrictions).

Our Disability Action Transport Scheme (DATS) service is provided for disabled people, older people or those who find it difficult using public transport. We use a range of fully accessible vehicles to deliver the service and depending on where you live it might be a bus, small taxi type vehicle or a car.

DATS is an interim service which will operate until such time as the Department for Infrastructure has considered how best to meet the transport needs for disabled people across Northern Ireland. DATS is funded through grant assistance provided by the Department for Infrastructure.
