As part of its commitment to making courts accessible to the public, the Arizona Supreme Court broadcasts its hearings and other court proceedings live on the Internet via streaming video technology. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, many Arizona courts are holding virtual court hearings and livestreaming the video to YouTube.

To see how to view a hearing, check the online calendar. At the beginning of each day, the online hearing calendar will show if the hearing will be in person or livestreamed. If in person, you must go to the courthouse to see it. If livestreamed, the video will be available once the hearing starts.
Hearings may also be conducted by either video conference or telephone. Parties or witnesses wishing to appear by video conference or telephone may, not later than 7 calendar days prior to the hearing date, request that the assigned administrative law judge permit them to appear by video conference or by telephone.

Some cases may be live-streamed to preserve the transparency and open records policy Arizona courts have traditionally held. Some cases will not be broadcast due to privacy concerns as outlined in Arizona Supreme Court Rules 122 and 123..
