In March of the 2019-2020 school year, all Arizona school campuses were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the Arizona State Board of Education, acting on passed state legislation, voted not to administer the statewide assessments, and to carry a school's 2018-2019 A-F letter grade forward for the 2019-2020 school year.
