The Sixth Grade Georgia Standards of Excellence for science are designed to give all students an overview of common strands in earth science including, but not limited to, meteorology, geology, astronomy, and oceanography.
On June 9, 2016, the State Board of Education approved the K-12 Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for Science. The Science Frameworks provide one way that teachers, schools, and districts might organize and teach the Georgia Standards of Excellence within units. Frameworks include curriculum maps, pacing guides, and instructional segments.
