The option to input an equation is at the top-right corner of the calculator window. As you can see from the picture above, you can compute both linear and quadratic equations in the calculator.

Everyone learns (and some readers maybe still remember) the quadratic formula ... ask Wolfram Alpha or plug 3.4285 back into the original formula. Wolfram says 3.43 and the check your own work ...
