The Chicago Sky’s preseason opener in Baton Rouge, La., will offer a rare return to the past for three of their youngest stars.

BATON ROUGE, La. — When the WNBA put together a preseason game between the Sky and the Brazilian national team at LSU, it was built around Angel Reese. There were other storylines, but Reese was the undisputed headliner. And she was thrilled to embrace it.

Ahead of her return to Baton Rouge, Reese credited coach Kim Mulkey for toughening her up and said, "My life just changed," after winning a national championship there in 2023.

Tomorrow night at 8 p.m. CT, LSU will welcome a WNBA Preseason Game featuring the Chicago Sky and the Brazil National Team at the PMAC, marking the return of LSU's own Angel Reese to Baton Rouge. The game will air on ION television.

Van Lith didn’t fit that mold at LSU. Reese and the Sky will be heading back to Chicago to continue training camp before their second preseason game on Tuesday, facing the Minnesota Lynx at 7:00 p.m. ET. They will open the regular season on May 17, facing the Indiana Fever on the road.
