Simultaneously, the State Bar said it was suing Measure Learning, the vendor that administered the botched February exam, for fraud. The disaster also claimed  the State Bar’s executive director, Leah T. Wilson. Wilson said she would step down in July when her $400,000 annual contract is set to expire.

After exam fiasco, California State Bar faces deeper financial crisis

Wilson, executive director of the State Bar, told state lawmakers at a Senate Judiciary hearing Tuesday that the agency expects to pay around $5.6 million to offer free exams to test takers, book in-person testing sites and return the exam to its traditional system of multiple-choice questions for its July test.
