The highly popular cartoon character Bluey is heading to cinemas across Lancashire this May Bank Holiday for a special event.

The Sunderland dates, from March 25-29, 2026, are part of a nationwide tour which will visit 32 venues across the UK and Ireland, starting on October 25. Based on the Emmy award-winning children’s TV show, the stage show features puppets, who bring the Heeler family to life, as well as music.

The show, which originated in Australia and can be viewed in the U.S. on YouTube and Disney+, follows a family of cartoon blue heeler dogs, and has captured the hearts of children (and parents) around the world with a cast of easily relatable characters and emotionally complex storylines that kids can follow — and even adults don’t mind tuning in for.

Following a hugely successful UK tour, Bluey, Bingo, Mum and Dad are back by popular demand in the Olivier Award nominated live stage show Bluey’s Big Play.
