The A2 is was closed westbound earlier today following a crash involving four vehicles, causing long delays in the area and on the M25. In a travel alert on its website earlier National Highways said the A2 westbound between the B255 Bean and the M25 (J2) was closed "due to an collision resulting in an overturned car".

Canterbury's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
